About the Traveling Exhibit

FOCUS ON ABORTION, the traveling exhibit, is available to bring to your house of worship, library, community center, clinic, college or high school.

In this ready-to-hang and easy-to install traveling exhibit, we are introduced to individuals who have had abortions and others who are close to the abortion experience, including partners, and professionals who provide abortion care. Each person is represented by a photographic portrait and a first-person narrative.

The storytellers, through their nuanced narratives, provide a broad picture of abortion in our country.

Why Host This Exhibition?

These stories have the potential to widen public understanding of abortion, and to encourage civil discourse around this often-polarizing subject. We  know from the Civil Rights and Gay Rights Movements that we learn from other people's stories.

These stories could help mitigate the profound stigma that surrounds abortion. Many will be surprised to learn that one out of four women in the US will have an abortion during their reproductive years.
