FAQs

Who will be in this project?

Individuals who have been touched by abortion and want to share their stories. Included are those who have had abortions as well as others who have been close to the abortion experience such as partners, relatives, and those who provide abortion care.

The goal is to present as many different kinds of stories as possible, illuminating the many reasons that go into a decision to have an abortion as well as the abortion experience. Every story is unique and important. If you have a story you want to share, please contact Roslyn at roslynbanish@gmail.com

can this project make a difference?

Yes! An in-depth story accompanied by a name and photographic portrait enables viewers to take in the story, leading to greater understanding, empathy, and compassion. This, in turn, can foster civil discourse.

What is the process of participating in the project?

In 2019 I am traveling across the U.S. to meet with volunteers who want to share their abortion stories. The meeting takes approximately 90 minutes at which time the interview and photography take place.

Once you contact me, I will be in touch to schedule a brief phone conversation. After that, if you are selected to be in the project, I will set up a time to meet with you in-person to interview and photograph you.
